Historical Security Council Committee Update!

FRIDAY'S Debate

The Historical Security council began their debate with a controversial clause on the implementation and reintegration of the Apartheid as a call for national peace and stability. Indubitably, many delegations urged nations to vote against such stipulation, with the delegation of Egypt questioning “How can South Africa take steps forwards with this clause” and France promptly countering that “without peace we are not able to take steps forward, we would only take steps backwards.” The delegates engaged in diplomatic, yet impassioned, debates on the privilege of education, the urgent need of national stability, and the issues of democracy and discrimination. With clauses, ‘points of information’, ‘motions to follow up’ and an overall fervent debate throughout, delegates passionately deliberated on clauses regarding the Issue of the Apartheid in South Africa. The delegation of India expressed their vehement views on what he called “a clause of hate” and considered it to be “frankly unspeakable that it is even being debated right now. The historical security council debates the betterment of humanity”, adding that “ it is disgraceful that we are debating such a clause.” Thankfully, no veto threats have been unveiled yet.
